1/21 | Intro to Pointed Pen Calligraphy

Begin your calligraphy journey and learn the beautiful art of modern calligraphy with calligrapher Jen McCarthy of Letter B Calligraphy.  In this workshop, you'll learn all the basics of pointed pen calligraphy including:

• Basic lettering terms
• Overview of the nib, nib holder, ink and how to use them
• Proper grip, posture and arm/hand movement
• Basic strokes  (the building blocks of the lowercase alphabet)
• Overview of a modern lowercase exemplar and how to use the basic strokes to put letters together
• Tips and tricks

This workshop is for beginners and absolutely no experience is necessary. NOTE: While supplies and materials will be provided for use during the workshop, there is also an option to purchase a take-home kit with all the supplies needed to continue your journey at home!
