2/8 | Intro to Letterpress at Reflex Letterpress

You love the look and feel of this age-old artisanal process, now get your hands dirty and print some of your very own creations! Jump in and get your feet wet with this intro letterpress printing class.

Participants will dive into a diverse library of printing blocks and cuts, including but not limited to dragonflies, cinder blocks, monster trucks, hearts, flowers, MidMod furniture, and swimming elephants. These blocks can be used singly or together to create A2 flat cards or fold overs in a variety of styles and occasions. Wood type and larger metal type can be used the set short words and phrases to add to the design.

The focus is on informality and fun, with multiple setups and layouts possible over the course of the workshop. Attendees often find themselves swapping their creations with others, and everyone takes home a wild assortment of prints!

In the event a class is cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather, instructor availability, or low enrollment, we will email participants as soon as possible with the option to take a rescheduled class or receive a full refund.

If you are unable to attend a workshop, you may notify us at least 72 hours prior to the event for credit towards a future workshop. We are unable to accommodate last minute cancellations - if you're unable to make it, consider sending a friend!
