Jaclyn and Matt designed a wedding celebration that embraced all the old world tradition and grace of their chosen home, Boston. From the moment the guests opened the envelope, they knew this was going to be a special event.
The invitation suite not only matched their sophistication in tone but sparkled with their love of the city, down to the gold foil illustrations of their historic church and the Boston Public Library, where they held their reception.
Gold details wove throughout, a counterpoint to the warm blackberry grey letterpress: gold foil names, gilded beveled edging, delicate gold silk ribbons, and the icing on the cake, a wax seal with a custom monogram, hand painted in gold ink.
Watercolor florals in rich autumn tones brought a sense of the season and a lush and elegant pop of color to the suite, as well as a preview to the sculptural floral decor to come. The envelope liner provided a beautiful contrast to the classic invitation, while elements of the motif carried through to the rehearsal dinner invitation.
The transparency of the vellum wrap and the gossamer silk ribbon brought in an element of texture to the already luxurious suite design. We couldn't be more honored to be a part of this truly timeless wedding.
